I have to say that "Tap ya later!" is almost cheesy. Just being honest. Not that my suggestions were any better, but if I were you I'd keep shopping for something less...after school special, in comparison to your posts.

Why is it so easy for a guy to just fuck anyone when he KNOWS it's not who he'd want to be with? Sure, sex is fun, but what exactly is the point for you, as men, to lay every single brick just to get to the end of the path? Pun intended. Or perhaps you're not looking for the end? Just miles of meaningless sex left in your wake. What happened to a little morning self love in the shower? Or do you just not care if you experience any firsts--any mind blowing sex in the bedroom with the one you spend your life with?
To add to that...claiming you're responsible because you use a condom to protect yourself against disease and being a baby daddy to many...doesn't actually work on me. Sure, some girls are out there just like you; shopping for a midnight romp. But there are many women out there whose feelings are getting trampled on by men who don't actually give a shit about anything but how wet their panties can get. These women, with feelings, emotions that I'm not sure your species even understands...well they should matter. And when you slip it in and then slip out of their lives just as easily, whether you realize it or not you're probably in some way hurting at least half of them. They might not all say so. They don't always have to act crazy or chase after to you to wake up the next day with a small, shimmering hope that you're actually interested in them. So for that...you're irresponsible. Sure, so are they...they're big girls, but you're part of the equation. You're irresponsible with others..in my little opinion. I'm not saying I've never just slept with someone because it felt good at the time, but I can say that as a woman I've made that a very rare event in my life understanding my own emotional hang ups with it. Most women feel, view, and act on sexual matters in a completely different light. Even when we don't love that person, sex is still generally more intimate for us.
Just a thought. Dating doesn't actually equal sex in my mind. Why does it in yours?

From what I understand, Kel is pretty clear when talking to the girls that he isn't looking for a girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteThat's not my point Phil. A guy can be clear all he wants, and a girl can say that she's okay with that, and even in act on the same intent. My point however is that girls are continuous liars; mostly to themselves. I'm not putting full blame on Kel. I defintiely think there needs to be tougher chicks out there with enough confidence to also substain and give themselves a little morning self love in the shower. However, I just don't think it takes away from being careless with others when you KNOW inside, that most of them are not going to be able to live up to their "Oh, yeah...that's totally cool. Me too. Nothing serious. Let's bang." type of bullshit. Most of us aren't made like that.

ReplyDeleteNo Alecia, don't start another blog, I have a hard enough time keeping up with this one! I know what you're saying, Kel came off as just saying "I use a condom so I'm responsible" and didn't really go deeper than that, but like you also said, these are adults who should be able to make big girl decisions. I know that there is more to being responsible than just wearing a rain coat, but I think he was just trying to get across that he's not just carelessly pumping and dumping.
ReplyDeleteI like that idea, Alecia. Phildo is right in that I do explain that I don't want a relationship, but you are right too. Women will say one thing, but feel completely opposite on the inside. In fact, a female friend of mine said that a girl is ALWAYS dating to find the man she'll spend the rest of her life with. Even if she says "it's cool, let's bang", she still is hoping he'll stick around. A guy I know said that women who say they don't want to get married are liars and women who say they don't want kids are liars. Now, I won't go as far as that, but there is a little truth to that statement.
